DATING AS AN ADULT

Dating sucks. It sucked in high school, it sucked in college, it sucks as an adult and I’m sure it will continue to suck (probably more) as we get older.

It feels like a really shitty social experiment. But I do like science. So here we go.

A blog dedicated entirely to my disenchantment with online dating and my continued disappointment in the male species. Experiences from my twenties and experiences now, in my thirties. So the format may have shifted from websites to apps. Sure, I’ve gotten older and even moved to another state. But ain’t a damn thing changed when it comes to dating.

This still sucks dicks. A lot of dicks. And not in the good way.

Let me start by saying that I did not go into Match.com thinking that I would meet "The One", "Mr. Right", "Prince Charming", etc.;we all know that shit don’t exist. 

Rom-coms are bullshit. You don't just happen upon some great guy on Hinge who looks like Ryan Gosling and isn't already in love with himself yet insecure as fuck.

I signed up just to check it out, ya know? To see what's out there. And let me tell ya, I have met a variety of clowns, douchebags, asshats and other lame ass characters.

So here it is, my blog dedicated entirely to the social experiment of Dating. Featuring:

· Old fashioned dating (very limited, this just doesn’t happen these days)
· Dating in 2013 (Pre-COVID) on the west coast
