MATCH HAS TURNED ME INTO A COMPULSIVE LIAR

Ok, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration. It’s not a habit, but I am certainly lying more than is comfortable for me. And before we jump to any conclusions here, let me just say that NO, I am not lying about anything on my profile and all of my photos on Match are really of me and are not from 10 years ago.

Now that that’s all cleared up, here’s what I’m lying about: Dates. I go on a date and the question about how many other dates I’ve been on will inevitably come up. I’ve been told that it’s not socially acceptable to be honest here. Sadly, I did have to be told this because my natural response would have been the truth. Silly girl.

Those guys back there? No, I absolutely did not date them all. (Just three of em)

 

So I’m telling these guys that I’ve only been on one other date in the last month (which was true in the beginning!). I told my 4th date that I was heading to a family function later that night, when in reality, I was heading to part II of Date 3. And in part II of Date 3, I told the Bachelor that I was coming from said family event.

Maybe I could decrease the amount of lying I have to do if I don’t book multiple dates on the same day. Probably a good idea. Let’s do that. 

Oh, Date 3 had a follow-up date already. Hmm, I’ll get into that after I talk about Date 4. I’m trying to go in order here people, so I have an accurate record. I may need to go back and reference my posts for some fact-checking, what with all this lying and all.
