THE INTRO

THE BEGINNING OF ONLINE DATING

I signed up on 4/19/13 on Match. I created my profile at 1:00am. I did not think it through very well, I did not proof read it, and I most certainly did NOT pay a professional profile writer (Seriously, people pay for that service?!) to write my profile. I'm awesome, that was the message that I needed to get across and I did a pretty good job, if I may say so myself. At 1 in the morning, on my phone. Add a few pics, and bing bang bong! All set. Now what?

Well, as a girl, I figured it's probably not the best idea to go out there and search for guys and "wink" at them, as they call it. I don't know what the point of "winking" at somebody on Match.com is. But I'll get to that later. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. 

Anyway, so back to being a girl. And not chasing boys. I threw up the profile, and let it sit. I didn't do any additional work. And sure enough, the messages started pouring in.

I'm not reading all of these.

STATS
The nerd in me loves statistics. So I have to include these here.
In less than 24 hours, my page had 723 views, I got 52 emails and 56 "winks." As it turns out, without me, it's just Aweso-.
AWESOME?

I guess that's good? From what I've been told by the guys, this is normal for a girl on an online dating site. Apparently it's a very different experience for a guy. So what is in my profile, you ask? The truth. That's all, just the truth. 

I say I'm a small girl cause I am. And I would make an awesome ninja. I say that I like video games, and I go on to list the games I've played recently, and that I prefer the PS3 to the Xbox. I say that I love cars (and my photos reveal that), and I enjoy going to Comic Con dressed up as Harley Quinn. Or Babydoll from Suckerpunch. My ending line in my profile is: "Without ME, it's just AWESO-" As for my pictures, well, I post up a few of my Harley and Babydoll costumes from the Cons, one of me next to my car (fully clothed, seriously--nothing inappropriate!) and one of me next to a few friends. I did not post any pictures of me holding my phone out at arm's length and slightly above my head, making duck lips or kissy faces. Why? I don't have any pictures like that.


ARE YOU REAL?
Plenty of messages came through, asking if I was real. How can a girl be into cars, and comics, and like dressing up (cosplay) AND play video games?!?!? Seriously, this cannot be real. Well, it is. And I'm sure there's got to be other girls out there like me. Right? There has to be.
